FREE CLINIC - FISHING FOR CHUM SALMON
Saturday, November 7th
1:00 to 2:30pm
With their large size and abundant power, Chum salmon are a great sport fish. They’re also the most consistent run of salmon in Washington state. Yet for many years, Chum have mistakenly been ignored by many fly fishers and considered only a commercial species. Chum will soon be getting ready to head up Puget Sound-area rivers, and you should be getting ready, too. Come to a free seminar from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Avid Angler. Mike Benbow will talk about fly fishing for Chum and the appropriate techniques and tackle you’ll need to be successful. He’ll also show you how to tie and use some simple and effective flies for Chum salmon.
