The Avid Angler is a Seattle area fly fishing shop that carries a full array of products for the fly fisher. Whether you are a beginning to advanced fly fisher, we will have the equipment you need to maximize your time on the water. Our staff is experienced, personable and is committed to putting the right gear in your hands based on your needs and budget.
We offer a complete set of classes at our shop including introductory courses for those just getting into fly fishing or fly tying. For those looking to stretch their experience, we offer intermediate to advanced classes on fishing for steelhead, trout and for fly fishing in Puget Sound. Two-handed rods and spey casting are very important here in the Northwest and we offer excellent instruction on casting and fishing with these long rods.
We also offer a complete set of guiding services, whether you are fishing locally for trout, salmon or steelhead or travelling abroad for anything. We book all our trips through Emerald Water Anglers, a local guide service, and their experienced crew of guides will ensure that your local trip is the best possible. We also host a number of regional and international fly fishing adventures to locations such as Corbett Lake, BC, Isaak's Ranch, Ascension Bay, Mexico, South Andros Island and Turneffe Flats, Belize.
